Signpainting workshop with Bryan Yonki — Day 1

Studio Matthews hosted an amazing two-days workshop with signpainter Bryan Yonki of Well Done Signs. It’s been challenging and a lot of fun to learn how to make letters with a new tool.

Day one we started with some practice, learning the strokes of the formal (sans serif) and the informal lettering styles. Bryan brought over a ton of interesting books to look at abd be inspired from. Zach Bolotin from beloved neighborhood cafe Porchlight stopped by and took some amazing photos.
