Alice typeface

Alice, a typeface for reading long texts
Alice is a small family with size-specific styles that explores the relationship between text and display letterforms. The design goes beyond optical adjustments and creates features specific to each intended size of use. It has been designed primarily for use in magazines that offer long articles and essays, where columns of text are accompanied by distinct and expressive headlines.
Alice was developed during my Type and Media master at the Royal Academy of Art KABK in The Hague, NL.

Alice was the main text typeface on the international graphic design magazine Progetto Grafico, published by AIAP (the Italian association for visual communication design). For the issues 21–29 (2012–2017), Alice was paired with Gamma by Riccardo Olocco, design by Silvia Sfligiotti (Alizarina) and Falcinelli & Co.
